Ioannides' Season Finale a Rare Performance
Conductor Sarah Ioannides concluded her 2009-2010 season with a dramatic flair rarely produced by conductors.  On April 22, Ioannides delivered daughter, Elsa Isabel followed by an encore performance with a twin son, Karl Alexander!  Ioannides is taking a podium leave through June and residing in Connecticut with husband Scott Hartman, daughter Audrey and the twins before resuming upcoming performances.

Upcoming Season Debuts

Louisville Orchestra 
As part of the Louisville Orchestra's Music Makes a City Masterworks Series, Ioannides will lead the orchestra in a sonic journey through the last century to New York. The program features the works of Gershwin, Bloch, Barber and Bernstein along with Joseph Schwantner's From Afar, A Fantasy for Guitar performed by acclaimed guitarist Sharon Isbin.

Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra 
In a program of "Fire and Water" with the Rochester Philharmonic, Ioannides conducts Debussy's La Mer, Stravinsky's Firebird Suite and the Hindson Violin Concerto with violinist, Lara St. John. Originally recorded as a world premier by Ioannides and St. John with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hindson Violin Concerto receives its U.S. premier performance.

Next Performance
Ioannides returns to the podium to celebrate a July 4th Spectacular! with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra at Chamizal National Memorial Park.  This patriotic concert draws 15,000 people annually for festivities, music and fireworks.
